Andres Alberto GomezAbout
'El Instante Desvanecido [The Vanished Instant]’ is the soundtrack to the documentary film 'De Occulta Philosophia'. This project arose from the encounter between the musician, Andrés Alberto Gómez and filmmaker, Daniel V Villamediana. The two had already collaborated on Villamediana’s 'La vida sublime' where one of the tracks of Andrés’ ensemble, La Reverencia, was part of the soundtrack. Subsequently, Andrés suggested to Daniel the idea of doing something in relation to Baroque music.
The project was growing little by little and strong lines of dialogue were established. Some of the challenges were how to film a repertoire of Baroque music, how to create a visual discourse from not only the music but also the musical rhetoric - this album is testimony of it.
